Lunar Display in Switzerland
On Nov/11/2006 I observed a nice high moon halo display in Switzerland. Visible was a bright circumscribed halo and a infralateral or circumhorizon arc.
Supralateral? Supralateral forms when sun is at 32 degrees or below the colored arc under the 22/circumscribed halos is either circumhorizon arc or infralateral arc.
Dear Walt, I took the photos from 3:36 to 3:48 UTC. The bottom is better defined on all images during this 12 minute time periode. Then the whole display started fading out from the top of the halo. The clouds moved from NNW to SSE.

Beautiful! Is that 9° halo or artefact?

Michael, you are right. Sorry, I mixed it up. I will correct it in the blog.

Seems like 9 halo, but can't be sure. Martin has the same thing.
The Bates Motel on the left looks great.
